National Film Awards ceremony, which honours and celebrates excellence in Indian cinema, recognising outstanding achievements in various categories like acting, direction, music, and production. The winners of the 71st edition of the National Awards are announced today. The jury submitted the final report to Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Dr L Murugan at 4 PM today, August 1. However, after this, a press briefing was conducted at the National Media Centre in New Delhi, where the jury members officially announce the names of the winners across the categories. Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor For Jawan and he shared this with Vikrant Massey for ’12th Fail’. Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji has won the Best Actress for ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’. ‘Katthal’ has won the Best Film in Hindi.
