Set to the classic tune Aaha Inba Nilaavinile from Mayabazar (1957), the teaser shows Fahadh and Vadivelu on a journey through varied landscapes, before the tone takes a darker shift.
Director and cast‘Maareesan’ is Sudheesh Sankar’s second Tamil directorial after ‘Aarumaname’ (2009), though he is better known for his Malayalam projects like Villali Veeran. The film also stars Vivek Prasanna, PL Thenappan, Kovai Sarala, Sithara, Livingston, Saravana Subbiah, Renuka, Krishna, Telephone Raja, and Haritha in supporting roles.Impressive crewThe technical crew includes music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematographer Kalaiselvan Sivaji, and editor Sreejith Sarang. Sreejith Sarang is roped in as the editor for the film.Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu earlier teamed up for the drama thriller film ‘Maamannam’, which was released on June 29, 2023. On the other hand, Fahadh Faasil’s previous outing in Malayalam was the thriller movie ‘Bougainvillea’, which was directed by Amal Neerad.
