Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most loved actresses we have in the industry. Her confidence, her charm, her camera presence, everything has been an inspiration for many young artists, including her stepdaughter Sara Ali Khan. The ‘Kedarnath’ fame star has time and again candidly spoken about her love for Kareena. She even confessed that despite their family dynamics, Bebo never tried to be a mother figure to Sara after she married her father, Saif, in 2012. They share a very cool bond of friendship, and to date, Sara doesn’t shy away from confessing she is a die-hard fan of Bebo. As a matter of fact, when Sara was very young, she dressed up like Kareena Kapoor from ‘Asoka,’ to show her admiration for the OG diva.
When Sara Ali Khan dressed up like Kareena Kapoor Khan
A few years back, during a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Navneet Nishan, a close friend of Amrita Singh and an actor, mentioned that Sara Ali Khan once expressed her desire to look like Bebo following the release of Asoka. This happened only a year before Saif and Kareena got married, and Sara was merely 6 years old.
“I remember when Asoka (2001) was released, she wanted to be dressed like Kareena Kapoor. I had to make tattoos on her. Then I tied a scarf around her. I remember Saif Ali Khan came to my house. He looked at her with shock, like ‘What are you doing?’! I clicked a picture at that very moment. Even Amrita is there in the picture,” said Navneet Nishan.

Kareena Kapoor in ‘Asoka’
For the unversed, the 2001 release ‘Asoka’ featured Kareena in a very beautiful avatar. Especially, the song ‘San Sanana’ helped her establish a whole new standard of charm. Bebo, as a feisty warrior, was highly loved. Her bold, dark eyeliner and tattoos across the body added an extra edge to her charisma.
