In the now-viral clip on the internet, Martin was performing with a guitar in his hand at the Gillette Stadium in Boston during the ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ concert. When a young couple was displayed on the jumbotron, the 48-year-old said, “OK, now listen, are you two a couple? Are you two a legitimate couple?” The audience erupted in laughter, recalling the chaotic seconds that changed the lives of the previous couple who ducked. Later, when the young couple, who had their arms wrapped around each other, looked confused and didn’t respond to Martin’s question, the ‘Yellow’ singer asked, “Do you understand English?”The British singer then proceeded to speak in Spanish, but when they did not react at all and stared at him…he joked, “Ok, I’m just going to risk it.” After asking them one more time if they could hear him, the man gave a thumbs-up, and the musician later sang ‘Fix You.’
