Veteran actor Kirron Kher is known for her open and honest personality, both on and off screen. In a recent interview, she revealed that she never praises her family’s work unless it truly impresses her, even if that means hurting feelings at home. “I am not one of those people who appreciates family members just like that. My husband feels bad about it,” she told News18, admitting she can’t pretend to like every film Anupam Kher has done. “It shows on my face,” she laughed, recalling how she didn’t enjoy Sikandar’s performance in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies. Advice to Sikandar: ‘Be more like Anupam’Kirron shared that she often urges her son to be less selective with projects. While Sikandar is “very particular” about his work, she feels he needs to take on more roles, just as Anupam did during his career’s peak. “Anupam has done all the films because he had to earn money and take care of the house and the family. Sikandar is a laat saheb… but things don’t work that way,” she pointed out. Kirron acknowledged she had the “luxury of choice” because Anupam bore the financial responsibility, a privilege she believes Sikandar cannot afford if he wants to keep working consistently.
