The 71st National Awards were announced on August 1 and Shah Rukh Khan won his first ever National Award in 33 years. Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji won the ‘Best Actress’ for ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’. Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ won the Best Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. It’s more heartwarming for Karan, SRK and Rani to win this as they’ve had such close association professionally and friendship even off-screen. Karan penned a long note to celebrate Shah Rukh and Rani’s win, thus, explaining why life has come a full circle for him.
